Three years ago, I reviewed the movie American Wine Story, a documentary that follows the story of Oregon’s Brooks family (Brooks Wines) as well as others in the United States who have decided to leave their secure careers to follow their passion for winemaking. Such is the story of former Texas natives and owners, Randy and Brooke Hester, who decided to take their own leap of faith to create Lightning Wines.

As a previous winner, she served as a judge for the 2018 Born Digital Wine Awards. In 2019, she participated in Born Digital’s inaugural BDWA Summit – The “Unconference” on the future of the wine industry – in Liège, Belgium, with BDWA judges and winners. Elizabeth’s passions include travel, tourism, craft beverages, food, and fitness. She is always on the move to new destinations and loves discovering inspirational stories and places to share.
